When I say party of the year, I’m not exaggerating.
After officially tying the knot in sunny Florida, Sierra and Justin made the trip back to their home state of Illinois to throw the celebration they had always dreamed of, with the people who’ve known and loved them the longest. And let me tell you…their Illinois reception was anything but ordinary.
From the very first song, the dance floor was packed, and it stayed that way until the very last beat. Their people came to party, and they did not disappoint. There were drinks, there was laughter, and at one point I swear I saw a conga line form out of nowhere. And just when I thought the energy couldn’t get any higher…their family surprised them with a full-blown flash mob. Yes. A legit, synchronized, rehearsed-in-secret flash mob. It was the most chaotic, heartwarming, hilarious moment, and the couple’s reactions were absolutely priceless.
These two were inseparable all night, dancing, hugging everyone they could, and soaking in every little second. There was so much love in the room, so much joy radiating from every corner, and it was one of those nights where you just knew; this will be talked about for years.
Whether you were on the dance floor, watching from the sidelines with a drink in hand, or part of the flash mob surprise crew (MVPs, truly), you felt the love. And as their photographer, I got to witness every loud, messy, beautiful moment and freeze them forever.
Because nights like this deserve to be remembered.
